Tourist route distances

The biggest tourist attractions of Kraków are all within a walking distance. A few steps away is the fine Baroque façade of the Church of SS Peter and Paul and the white spires of St Andrew’s Church from the 11th c. Passing St Magdalene’s Square you reach Kanonicza Street, the most beautiful street in the Old Town where Pope John Paul II Museum is located. With few steps down the road you reach the foot of Wawel Hill with the Royal Castle and the Cathedral. Going along Grodzka Street in the opposite direction, you reach the Market Square with its Cloth Hall (Sukiennice), St. Mary’s Church (Kościół Mariacki), and the Town Hall Tower (Wieżą Ratuszową). The historic buildings of the Jagiellonian University are a few yards away. A three minute walk will take you to the fine art exhibition in the Czartoryski Museum featuring Leonardo da Vinci’s Lady with the Ermine and Rembrandt’s  Landscape with the Good Samaritan.
Turning to Senacka  Street you reach the Planty Park, a green area surrounding the Old Town, from which you can get to Floriańska Street, and the famous Papal Window of the Bishop’s Palace.
The railway station is less than 1 kilometre away, and it takes 20 minutes by car to get to the international airport and the ring road. Although road traffic is limited in the Old Town, you can get to our hotel by car and leave it at a car park  which is locked for the night.
